Love x Music in NYC: 5 Highlights from ICBRKR’s Second Music Series
Last Friday, we hooked up with Tongue in Cheek NYC to bring you ICBRKR’s first big New York event: a Music Series featuring the enchanting Öona Dahl and intoxicating The Scumfrog at De Kooning Studios. The theme was Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, which fell in perfectly with ICBRKR’s m.o. of connecting like-minded people and personalities. It was magical, what can we say… here are 5 reasons why.
1. Oooooh, oooh, Öona Dahl
This impressive and elusive female DJ is a sight to behold. Her mastery of electronic music paired with her exploration of sound turn her dance floors into experiences you’ll never forget. We’re proud to have supported her last Friday and can’t wait to see how she continues to represent women in electronic music. Go, girl!
2. Gimme glitter
Our glitter bar courtesy of All That Glitters was the perfect perk for this evening of light and love. Everyone looks better in glitter, dances better in glitter and mingles better in glitter. Fact.
3. Better with bubbles
That’s Yes Prosecco’s tagline, and we couldn’t say it better ourselves. They provided complimentary bubbly for the event and kept us clinking and cheering all night long.
4. Can I call you Mokibaby
This innovative artist from Miami first impressed us with her quirky video installations when we launched ICBRKR at Art Basel in Miami last year. We brought her back on Friday to give that extra pizzazz to the night. It worked. Love you, Mokibaby.
5. Sold out, so bright
The event was chock-full of lovely, lively, interesting people, selling out in all categories and ensuring the night reached its full potential.
We can’t wait to party in you again, NYC.
