Healthy Eats, LA-style
Being that it's officially summer, and I for one do not like turning on a stove or oven when it's hot out, I find myself eating out more often than not. But luckily, being in LA, there are so many great, healthy eateries to stay on top of my dietary needs. I've lived in LA for 5 years now. For the first few years I was in Hollywood and now I am a resident of the West Side. I've found many healthy and sustainable food options and couldn't be more excited. Whether you are looking for something quick and easy or "vibey" and sit down, I've rounded up a few of my favorites to share with you all.
1. Bondi Harvest - This has become a staple thanks to the seasonal menu options and I love it for breakfast and lunch. One of my favorite items is the rainbow bowl which I always order with a lavender latte. Sit outside in the little alleyway and enjoy the endless old school Hip Hop and R&B that they play!
2. Moon Juice Cafe - The perfect spot for a mid-day juice or tonic so I'm not reaching for another cup of coffee. My go to's here are either a green juice or a tonic loaded with adaptogens like the spirit dust chai. And you can't leave without getting one of the strawberry rose geranium bars!
3. Erwhon Market - For any meal of the day, this is a staple. I love getting a vegetarian combo plate filled with their delicious salads, or the sugar-free sushi. You really can't go wrong here.
4. Malibu Farms restaurant - This is the perfect summer spot to enjoy good food and the ocean. Sit under the beautifully strung basket lights and gaze out onto the ocean. My go-to orders here are the zucchini crust "pizza," and the vegetable paella.
