The first month of 2020 is over and though it may have felt like a long, eventful month, January was just a teaser for what has yet to unfold this year.

Let's start with the meaning of the historic date we had this weekend: 02.02.2020. No matter how you write it, the 2nd of February 2020 forms a palindrome, and a powerful start for the month. Furthermore, if we add all those numbers — 0+2+0+2+2+0+2+0 — we get the number "8." In numerology, the number "8" represents fertility, eternity, and positive vibes. As a symbol, it is eternity and karma, and reminds us that "what goes around, comes around." The number "8" is also the luckiest number in some nations and cultures. It is often selected for weddings dates and agreements. Find your special days that starts with "8" as we recognize the power in this number.

To take full advantage of the number "8," try to embrace the positive. Be positive yourself, and connect with positive people. This might mean that we end some friendships and relationships. Do not worry; the universe will try to protect you and shape your way. Accept the change and accept yourselves for who you are. The new people and friends that enter our life will do so for serious reasons and will be utterly transformative.

Following the 2nd of February, we feel a strong intention to move, imagine, and act. 02.02.2020 and the following days can be used to plant that seed — meaning new beginnings and decisions. We can reap positive results right away and in the following days.

The first week of February is also a perfect time to build a deep connection with the universe and the earth. This is because today, the 3rd of February, marks a new transit for Mercury — or Hermes in Greek mythology — into Pisces. Mercury represents communications and news. Since Hermes is God's messenger in mythology, we are open to receiving and embracing spiritual messages.

In astrology, Pisces represents dreams, prayers, and our inner side. When Mercury is in Pisces, it can be hard to focus as our attention is turned inward. Dreams will contain messages, so make a note of them in a journal every morning! We will also feel our emotions more than before. Since our body is made up of 80% water, this water (Pisces) transit will remind us that we are human and live with our emotions. It's a good time to remember who we are and tap into our feelings.

Mercury in Pisces makes us more sensitive and sentimental, so yoga, meditation, and sleep are even more important than usual. Try to relax, drink plenty of water, don't be afraid to cry and express your feelings by listening to music or singing a song. Feed your body with soft foods, relaxing teas and herbal drinks. If you must drink alcohol, do so carefully as it will affect you more deeply.

In addition, Mercury in Pisces makes a sextile contact with Uranus this week. This sextile angle gives us creativity, surprises, and makes our communication style smoother, healthier and happier. This week is an appropriate time to make requests: financial requests, sales issues, and other plans can be completed with the power of this energy. Regardless of your religion or beliefs, this is a good time to pray, find your rituals, and meditate. Connect with nature and ground yourself. My advice: hug a tree. 😊

Here's to celebrating this magical week and appreciating the universe with gratitude.
